Tiger Global - Investing $4B in Tech... Who?

Posted in: Sector and Company Insights, glassdoor, portfolio, tiger

Tiger Global might be one of the most prolific technology investing firms that no-one's heard about. They don't have a Twitter handle. Try finding their webpage. The firm is a "Tiger Cub", which is the title given to hedge funds founded by former employees of Tiger Management, the renowned fund run by Julian Robertson from 1980 - 2000. Although its ~$4B in AUM is focused mainly on public technology companies, Tiger Global has become increasingly active in private opportunities, most recently with their investment in Glassdoor, as reported on here by Dealbook's Michael de la Merced (@m_delamerced).

Tiger focuses on global "pre-IPO" opportunities, so it's no wonder that companies in the portfolio score very highly on DataFox. See a selection of their investments below.
