The business model of ClassPass thrives on letting members pick and choose from a variety of classes offered by multiple gyms and studios. The goals are to create variety for the members’ fitness regimes and keep their prices lower than if they were booking the classes individually on their own. Since launching in 2013, ClassPass has facilitated over 1.5 million reservations at more than 2,000 different classes in more than 20 markets around the U.S.

Groupon is a deal-of-the-day website that offers discounted gift certificates usable at local or national companies. It is known as an online e-commerce platform that provides its users with the ability to purchase anything. Groupon delivers merchants with a collection of products and services, including customizable deal campaigns, credit card payment processing capabilities, and point-of-sale solutions.

TalkTo lets users text any local business, just as they text their friends. TalkTo was acquired by Path last year, and the combination has led to an app allowing users to make conversations with places similar to what they've gotten used to in sending messages to their friends. Rather than calling a business and waiting on hold to ask a question of the person who answers, those messages are sent to representatives who make the calls for Path users.
